Wrestler of the Week

Each week I rate every wrestler in each match and select the WRESTLER OF THE WEEK. There are 5 categories, with points handed out on a scale of 0 to 5 (Best possible score being 25 pts.). The wrestler who gets the highest combined score is the "wrestler of the week." The 5 grading categories are as follows:

  1. Attitude- Wrestlers will be graded on their overall attitude and respect for the business.

  2. Skill- I will watch for proper technique, creativity, and safety..

  3. Showmanship- Wrestlers will be graded on how well they interact with the fans. Good showmanship will get the fans into a match and get them making noise.

  4. Sportsmanship- Wrestlers will be graded on how well they treat the other workers, both in and out of the ring. Respect is a key factor.

  5. Match Execution- Wrestlers will be graded on how well they carry out their roles as "heel" or "face." Match psychology is also an important factor. This is not how well the wrestlers follow a script.
