EVENT AT COUNTRY MUSIC LEGEND'S TROUBADOUR LOUNGE IN BERKELEY SPRINGS,
WV - The NWL/HoPWF will be hosting a fundraiser event for country
music legend Jim McCoy at his famous Troubadour Lounge & Park
in Berkeley Springs, WV, on Sunday, 7-27-08. This will be an outdoor
event held near the stage area of Troubadour Park and bell time is
set for 1:00PM. Appearing on the 11 match line-up will be Headshrinker
Samu, The Patriot, manager of the stars Royce Profit, Doink the Clown,
John Rambo, Pittsburgh, PA, regional referee Dave Webb, Professor
Danger Danny Boyd, the very impressive and huge tag team The Nigerian
Nightmares and all the stars of the NWL/HoPWF. The featured main
event will be an NWL Heavyweight Title "Top Contender" Match
with The Patriot. Shorty Smalls was booked to be The Patriot's opponent,
but a serious back injury has sidelined Smalls and he might have to
retire from professional wrestling. The winner of the Top Contender
Match will get a title shot at the HoPWF Martinsburg, WV, Apollo Theater
event on August 9th. There will also be a semi-main event 6 Man Tag
Team Match with Headshrinker Samu, John Rambo & LT taking on Profrddpt
Danger Danny Boyd, Gusten Uberstud & Giant Killer Brandon Scott.
Also on the card will be an NWL/HoPWF Hardcore Title "West Virginia
Coal Miner's Glove" Match, and a Ladies Tag Team Match with the
team of Rebecca Hoyt & Sammy Jo taking on Rose Babbit & Kacee
Carlisle. In a special stipulation Tar & Feather Match, Doink
the Clown will go against Flandingo Martinez. Cocky Rocky, Vinnie
& Gino DiCola will square off against Crucial Impact's Dokken,
Kano & Stash in a No DQ - Anything Goes Grudge Match. In a special
added attraction "1600 lb combined weight" Tag Team Match,
The Nigerian Nightmares (combined weight 900 lbs) take on the team
of Body Count, Lawless & Tytan (combined weight 700lbs). In singles
Match action, Cowboy from Hell Brent Rage will test his skills against
ring veteran Jimmy Cicero. 3 other matches will be announced. Fans
will have the opportunity to check out the world famous West
Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame, established by Jim McCoy in
1992. It is a special room of the Troubadour Lounge that contains
pictures, memorabilia and plaques honoring country music legends of
The Mountain State. Every year during the Remembering Patsy Cline
Labor Day Weekend festivities, Jim announces the new inductees to
the Hall of Fame for the year and visitors get to see the many
photos on display, browse through the Patsy Cline and Ernest Tubb
photo albums or watch videos of the stars that date from the 1950's
to present. Fans will also want to check out the Wall of Fame and
Hillbilly Heaven. All Hall of Fame visitors get to enjoy a free tour
of the Recording Studio. And great food and drinks are available
at all times! Front row seats are $20.00, 2nd & 3rd rows are $15.00
and there will be $10.00 B.Y.O.C. (bring your own chair) general admission
seats. Fans can reserve tickets at any time and pay for them the day
