CURRENT NEWS - PRESS RELEASE: TALENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM TO BEGIN IN SEPTEMBER WITH ENGLAND'S POWER TRIP WRESTLING & MARYLAND's NWL/HoPWF - The NWL/HoPWF and the UK's PTW organization, run by Petey Staniforth, are very proud to announce the start of an exclusive and permanent international talent exchange program between the two companies. Three selected PTW wrestlers will be making their way to Hagerstown, MD, on September 1st 2010, and will be arriving at the NWL's SPWTC/HOUSE of PAIN and the NWL/HoPWF; and staying for the entire month. PTW will also be represented in this year's NWL/HoPWF "Lord Of The Rings / Neil Superior Memorial Cup 6" event at the Civic Center in Ranson, WV, on September 18th 2010, adding some exciting international grappling to the tournament. Not only will this be a great opportunity for the wrestlers from both leagues but also for the fans who'll get to see some of the top independent pro wrestling stars from across the "Big Pond!" CURRENT NEWS - NWL HOUSE of PAIN & ROCKY's PIZZA TEAM UP FOR REALITY TV SHOW - Fremantle Media, the same company that produces American Idol, The Price Is Right and America's Got Talent have signed contracts with Vinnie and Rocky DiCola, Dick Caricofe and John Rambo for a possible nationally televised reality show titled The Pizza Wrestlers. September 25, 2010 - NWL/HoPWF LORD OF THE RINGS / NEIL SUPERIOR MEMORIAL CUP 6 - WWE STAR DOINK THE CLOWN AND 3 TIME WWE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPION & LOTR/NSMC5 WINNER HEADSHRINKER SAMU SIGNED FOR EVENT - On Saturday, 9-25-10, the NWL's John Rambo will host the 6th annual NWL/HoPWF Lord Of The Rings/Neil Superior Memorial Cup at the 157th National Guard Armory in Martinsburg, WV. 2 rings, 40 wrestlers, 23 matches and 1 champion who will walk away with the 6 ft. 4 in. championship trophy that honors the late Neil "The Power" Superior, who stood at the same height.. This year's tournament will feature Neil's brother Dwayne "Nunu" Caricofe as a special guest referee and Neil's father NWL president Dick Caricofe will present the winner with the LOTR trophy. The top 10 finalists will also receive engraved gold medals. And for the first time all the individual NWL and HoPWF titles will be on the line in the LOTR/NSMC 6 tournament. Not only will medals and a trophy be won, but titles will be won and lost as well making the tourney even more exciting.
