Jeremy Sumpter    aka Big E Sleeze

There is not too much I can say about Jeremy's life. I did not meet him until only 8 months ago, but I recall his mother and him telling me how they saw me wrestle back in 1989 against the Iron Shiek. I know for a fact that Jeremy loved wrestling more than anything else in the world. He showed me video tapes of all his buddies playing pro wrestler in their backyard on the trampoline, and conducting wrestling interviews in full costume and personality.

Not too far off from these childhood days, Jeremy broke into the ranks of becoming a professional wrestler. He did so through the help and tutelage of Neil Caricofe, a.k.a. Neil Superior. Jeremy found a special and sincere friendship with Neil, and I understand Jeremy lived his wrestling life admiring and respecting his talented mentor. The day of Neil's passing, brought to an end the most important friendship Jeremy ever had. I only pray this moment that the two of them are united once more, and their friendship will continue to grow forever more.

I recall the first time I ever met Jeremy, and watched him wrestle. I immediately saw a true diamond in the rough. This young man had so many talents and abilities. A definite spot in pro wrestling existed for him. There has not been any one student or trainee that I spent more time with teaching and explaining my knowledge. There was no other individual with more heart and desire to learn and advance as did Jeremy. In a matter of just a few short months, his wrestling career began to take off in a very promising direction. And for the first time in his career, Big E Sleeze was getting his much do mainstream media attention. I was very proud of him! Besides, I had reason to be. Jeremy was my HoPWF Heavyweight Champion.

I wish I could tell you more about Jeremy's life other than wrestling. I am sorry. I cannot. I do know he loved his family, and he loved his friends. He was the type of person that would drop anything to help you out. Jeremy was a person you could count on to be there if needed. I know this for a fact, because he helped me out in too many occasions to even recall. Along with constantly attending the school to train and wrestle, Jeremy held down 2 jobs. He was a very responsible human being, and worked hard to get what he wanted. I honestly respected Jeremy as a young man, and I admired all the God given skills he possessed. I saw such a bright future ahead of him.

All I really have left to say or offer, are my condolences to the family. Especially to Jeremy's mother, my deepest, most sincerest sympathy. To all his friends, who I know miss him dearly, I share your pain. But there is one more thing I would like to share with you all. That is how I will remember my friend. I will always think back to the first time I heard Big E ask while standing in the ring in front of a packed arena, ...."Who's down with the clown?" It made me laugh and it made me smile. Two of the most precious gifts God ever blessed us with the ability to do. Those, along with love,....now that is Heaven! God be with you my friend, and give Neil a handshake for me!

'Til we meet again, good bye Brother.
